George Pringate’s Last Hurrah By: Stewart Hoffman

A quick, five star read that will leave you guessing right up till the end.

I read this book back in August—George Pringate’s Last Hurrah By: Stewart Hoffman—and I've already picked it up and reread it. To say I enjoy this novel is an understatement. The writing is top-notch! Also, I've had encounters via twitter with the author, and I must say, he is a delight! I originally got this novel on my kindle, but after I finished reading it, I requested an autographed copy right away! Stewart Hoffman seems like a chill dude, and his imagination astounds!

I stand by my original review and will post it below.

Sometimes when I begin a new novel, I’m overly judgmental. When I read something that is a bit too vulgar or obscene, my first instinct is to say, “oh great, another guy wrote a novel that’s objective towards women.” I’m very quick to internally yell at myself to “stop it!” However, if it keeps going, and the writer doesn’t get it under control, I feel justified in calling the author out in the review.
I’d like to say, there will be No calling anyone out in this review.
To say this novel furthered my love of reading is an understatement. Any book that can make me laugh out loud, squirm in my seat, scream out, “Oh my Gawd!”, and start bawling like a baby within the span of a chapter, absolutely gets a five-star rating.

I love this novels view on afterlife. The “snapshot” aspect was a great thing that I never would have thought of. I enjoyed that a great deal.
While the entire book was good, chapter 3- part II, literally punched me in the gut. I could feel it as if I were living it. I want to find that kid and hug him. Part IV I can only use emojis to express how it made me feel... 😭🥺
My reviews always say something about grammar, the grammar is Perfection!
I love this novel from beginning to end. Wonderfully written! I recommend it to anyone who loves to read. The mystery of George Pringate’s demise is well written and fraught with real-life stresses and internal dialogue that lets you know the author did his homework.

The Push by JC Fuller

This book y’all!

The Push is book two in the Rockfish Island Mysteries series. Being proceeded by Black Bear Alibi. Now… with book one, I totally guessed! Book two however… no… I didn’t guess. Didn’t see it coming, totally thought it was someone else. This book was a quick read, I couldn’t put it down after I picked it up.

This book gets five stars because it kept me so entertained! (It lost a star for grammar for a minute but gained it back because I was just so utterly enthralled that I stopped paying attention to the things that bothered me. Tiny, tiny things that only I would probably even notice, but I always mention grammar in my reviews, so I couldn’t leave it out.)

When Oceans Rise by Robin Alvarez

Stunning tale of magic and folklore that will leave you gasping for air

When Oceans Rise is a magical journey that you want to take. It’s beyond difficult to put down when life gets in the way of reading 😂
The characters are entrancing. The story takes you there! You are in it with the characters, and you can feel the aches, the pains, the overwhelming hollowness that comes from abusive relationships.
This Fantasy YA novel has everything you want in a fantasy novel! It’s got dysfunctional relationships, bad decisions, and romance that makes you ache. It’s got monsters that make you look over your shoulders while you’re reading, and grammar that is STELLAR!  The author also designed her own cover and y’all that cover is a work of art! Pick up the book, It will take you on a glorious adventure. Life, Magic, Truth… it has so much in its pages... I feel honored to have read it.
Phenomenal work. I’d give it ten stars if I could. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Follow Robin if you don’t already and just for the love of all things stop reading this review and buy the book already!
